Tell me a bit about yourself: what do you do and how did you come to art?
Yuri Vildtgrube
My name is Yuri Vildtgrube. For most of my life, I have worked and continue to work in a small construction company as an architect. I specialize in designing cottages made of glued beams. In general, my activity is related to wood materials. It all started in my distant childhood, I imitated my father, who also worked with wood. And of course, I liked the masterpieces of sculpture and drawing, and I loved to copy them. During copying, it seemed to me that I was partially immersed in the world of plastics and harmony. For some time, I studied as a woodcarver. Later, I studied academic drawing and composition. This is how my professional core was formed.

How did you learn about NFT? What was your first experience with them?
Yuri Vildtgrube
I learned about NFT from friends, but I didn't start studying it. Later, one of my friends offered me to participate in an NFT project as a creator of sketches. So I had to more carefully explore the NFT space. And I liked this modern art space, and I started making my first NFT collection.

You have been involved in digital art and NFT for quite some time. Do you experience creative burnout? If so, how do you deal with it? What motivates you to continue?
Yuri Vildtgrube
Right in the middle of creating the volume of my first NFT collection, I burned out. The way out of burnout is to switch to another activity or rest. The main motivation to continue creating is the inner peace, as if there is a space inside you for creative exploration.

How can you compare the NFT community a few years ago, when you first got to know it, with what is happening now? What key points would you like to highlight?
Yuri Vildtgrube
In my opinion, the NFT community has not changed much as a structure. However, the proportions and scale of the parts of the structure have changed significantly and continue to change like stock market indices. The most significant moment in the change of the NFT space is the growth of professional skills among the practicing participants of this community.

Your art is diverse, and I know that you have used different programs. Can you list what you have tried, and briefly comment on each experience?
Yuri Vildtgrube
In creating NFT collections, I used 3D programs - AutoCad, Maya, Houdini, TouchDesigner. 2D programs - AdobePhotoshop, AdobeAfterEffect. I have always been interested in learning new programs, extracting interesting possibilities for creating digital graphics.

How do you relate to classical art? What do you like about it, and how do you compare it to what you do?
Yuri Vildtgrube
As I mentioned above, the desire to imitate the masterpieces of classical art led me to create creative improvisations of classical art objects. Classical art is like a foundation for me, on the basis of which you can build an object that responds to the atmosphere of our time.
